1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how NeutraHost ("NeutraHost", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit our website, create an account, or use our hosting, domain, and website-building services (collectively, the "Service"), including when you choose to sign in or register using a third-party account such as Google.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information: first and last name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), country, and preferred language.
- Billing information: billing address and payment details, processed by our payment provider. NeutraHost does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers.
- Hosting content: domain names, website files, databases, and email accounts you create or upload while using the Service.
- Support communications: messages you send us via live chat, email, or contact forms.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and referring URLs.
- Device & log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and general location inferred from your IP address.
- Cookies: see Section 5 below.
3. Signing in with Google
NeutraHost offers "Continue with Google" so you can create an account or log in without a separate password. When you use this option:
- Google asks for your permission before sharing anything with us.
- We request only your name, email address, and basic profile information (via the
openid, email, and profile scopes). We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google product.
- We use this information solely to create or match your NeutraHost account, verify your email address, and let you sign in — nothing more.
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties except as described in Section 6 (for example, our database host) or as required by law.
- NeutraHost's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- You can revoke NeutraHost's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access does not automatically delete your NeutraHost account — see Section 9 to request deletion.
4. How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and maintain your account, and authenticate you when you log in (including via Google).
- Provision, operate, and secure the hosting, domain, and website services you purchase.
- Process payments, subscriptions, and renewals, and send related billing notices.
- Send service-related communications: account confirmations, security alerts, and support responses.
- With your consent, send product updates or promotional messages — you can opt out at any time.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability, security, and performance of the Service.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as language and country), and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service — including staying logged in — from working correctly.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Infrastructure & hosting providers that operate the servers your account and websites run on.
- Payment processors needed to bill you for the Service.
- Email & communication providers used to send account, security, and support notifications.
- Domain registries/registrars, when you register or manage a domain name through NeutraHost, as required to complete the registration.
- Law enforcement or regulators, when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NeutraHost, our users, or the public.
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — you will be notified of any such change and any choices you may have.
7. Data retention
We retain account and hosting data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request earlier deletion as described in Section 9.
8. Security
We apply industry-standard safeguards — including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@neutrahost.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service.
